What’s Mishnoah Retreat like?
The venue is owned by Sue, Kent’s mom. We thought it would be the perfect location for this celebration of love and family.
The grounds are open to all our guests in the week leading up to the wedding. We’d love for you to come by for some fishing, bonfires, boating, or hiking!
Kent and Ayah will be at Mishnoah Retreat all week.
What’s the weather like?
Expect highs of mid 50s and lows in the 30s. Please bring warm clothing for walking around the grounds.
What’s the parking situation?
There is parking on site. Please view the map to see where the parking areas are. We may add additional parking the day of the ceremony.
What do I wear?
For the Ceremony/Reception: Smart Casual to semi-formal attire. Our wedding colors are plum with bright orange accents if you want to coordinate with the palette (completely optional).
We recommend flat shoes or chunky heels so you can walk around the grounds comfortably.
For outdoor family hangout time: layers, sweaters, and hats! There are firepits at every cabin, and a large one will be by the main venue hall.
Is the Ceremony and Reception indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors at Mishnoah Retreat’s main hall.
What time should I arrive?
For the Ceremony, please plan to arrive by 1:30 PM.
Fire dancing sounds interesting! How can I learn more?
We'll host a small "Intro to Fire Dancing" meeting after the rehearsal dinner! Bring 100% cotton, linen, or wool tops and bottoms to wear if you'd like to participate in our fire photo the night of the wedding <3
There’s a Catholic Mass? Tell me about it.
Sure! Ayah's aunt and godmother is a Carmelite nun at the Boston Carmel monastery, founded in 1890. The contemplative and quiet environment has fed Ayah's soul whenever she has a solo stay with the Sisters.
We would like to share this special place with our family, old and new. You may participate as much or as little as you'd like in the Mass - but please join us for lunch afterwards!
Parking: There is a parking lot to the right of the monastery.

Your presence is the greatest gift of all.
However, should you wish to grant us a gift, contributions to our Wishing Well or our Registry would help us create more treasured memories.
